Pick your perfect Andaman family trip

Andaman is about the easiest beach holiday in India to do with the whole family — short flights, calm water in season, and plenty to do that needs no swimming at all. Our Andaman family tour packages keep ferries gentle, hotels comfortable and the days unhurried, so the kids stay happy and the grandparents aren't worn out. We've planned family trips here since 2014, book the hotels ourselves, and keep one manager on WhatsApp throughout. GST-invoiced, flexible, 20% to book.

Planning a family trip, the easy way

Everything you need to know before you fly, from a team that's been running family Andaman holidays since 2014.

🏝️ Why it works for three generations

Short flights in, short hops between islands, and water calm enough for grandkids and grandparents alike. You'll base around Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram), Havelock and Neil — enough beach, history and wildlife to keep a six-year-old and a sixty-year-old equally happy.

📅 The window that's kindest to everyone

Oct–Feb — calmest seas, gentlest on little ones and anyone prone to seasickness.
Mar–May — warm; good for older kids keen to snorkel.
Jun–Sep — we steer families away; too many cancelled ferries.

🚤 Ferries timed around nap schedules

No app cabs, so we handle it. Catamaran seats (Makruzz, Nautika, Green Ocean and ITT Majestic) booked on calm morning sailings so nobody's queasy, plus your own AC cab so you can stop when the toddler needs to. Short 1.5–2 hour hops, never a marathon.

🌦️ The family packing list

Warm and humid, sea about 27 °C. Bring kids' meds, reef-safe SPF, sun hats, water shoes and a light raincoat. One firm rule everywhere: bottled water only — the tap water isn't safe to drink.

🍜 Fussy-eater friendly

Plenty of vegetarian and Jain food, and most resorts include a proper breakfast to launch the day. Aberdeen Bazaar is a fun souvenir stop with the kids — just steer them off coral and shell trinkets, which are illegal to buy.

💡 Worth knowing before you fly

Indian travellers of any age need no permit; foreign nationals get a free RAP on arrival at Port Blair (30 days). Alcohol is legal and cheap — just not on public beaches.
Carry cash; ATMs are limited past Port Blair.
Signal drops on outer islands — agree check-in times with family at home.
Every activity we book uses licensed operators; lock older kids' scuba early for Dec–Jan.

🐠 What everyone can actually do

Glass-bottom boat at North Bay — coral and fish without getting wet.
Sea walk — helmet on, walk the seabed, no swimming.
Cellular Jail light & sound — history that holds school-age kids.
Radhanagar & Elephant Beach — shallow, calm paddling.
Ross Island — easy strolls, deer and ruins to spot.

🛟 How we keep it worry-free

Verified hotels, licensed operators, and AC ferries with assigned seats on the calmest morning sailings. Travelling with elderly parents? Tell us and we'll arrange boarding help and keep each day short.

🏨 Rooms and a rhythm that fit

Connecting or larger family rooms, pools where we can get them, and an itinerary we'll happily slow around naps, mobility or mealtimes. No 5 a.m. starts — unless someone in the family actually wants one.
